The full scale Mitte Bitte! Festival will unleash its full glory in November 13th 2009; for Noise Central Festival however has taken up the chance to bring a full focus German edition to Utrecht once again, co-produced by the Mitte Bitte! Festival this March. So all you party-people that can’t wait- here it is: the German focussed Noise Central Festival V!
For the fifth edition the Noise Central Festival V-crew has booked no one less than the Berlin big shot sensation Jason Forrest to bring a pounding, cutting, crushing and pure noise set, of course under his nom-de-plume: DJ Donna Summer! Those expecting bouncy disco tracks, will have a rude awakening indeed! Having started his career with breakcore-mash-ups (no wonder he was in on Bong-Ra’s wedding bash in Tivoli!), he now owns CockRockDisco, label of amongst others Drumcorps, Doormouse Duran Duran Duran and the very tasty, sexy Otto von Shirarch. Sample-based, experimental, a jack-of-all trades and on Noise Central Festival in harsh noisebloodshape: DJ Donna Summer!
The start and most of the first part of Noise Central Festival V will be in the hands of Le Petit Machiniste label. Small, very fine and reasonably unknown in the Netherlands – in spite of its location, just across the border in the regions of Düsseldorf – yet, this will soon change with this carte blanche for the wild do-it-yourself crew around 100Blumen: the moving force behind – and owner of LPM. After its show on Industrial Night on Summer Darkness 2008, 100Blumen is no stranger to Utrecht. If you were there, you will know what to expect. As a label LPM not only brings out interesting releases, the crew also organizes steaming parties! Parties that are characterized by their amiable party-vibe, but when the bombshell is dropped, even a pogo is in the cards!
On Noise Central Festival V LPM sends three acts. Saal5 kicks off with beautiful noisy ambient, after which the only 19-year old Tendo will nicely warm up the dance feet with a fat portion of industrial breaky drum-n-bass. Headlining the LPM-showcase, Nin Kuji steps forward, the local hero and shooting star of the Nordrhein-Westfalen noise scene without a doubt. Industrial, IDM, noise, experimental sounds and smashingly loud beats: typically Nin Kuji, no wonder his shows flow with swirling moshpit-energy; a sound that overlaps with, for instance, Mono No Aware –rings a bell?!
In other words, on Noise Central Festival V Le Petit Machniste introduces its varied label on Dutch soil for the very first time and will soon bring the ACU venue to a shimmering boiling point! Moreover, Noise Central Festival V has attracted Mono-Amine (known for his Storm and Darkforce nights) as a special guest to bring the hottest, sexiest mix of acid techno, noise core, industrial and tekno with razor-sharp edges in all of the Netherlands today.
Mono-Amine simply has to be here on Noise Central Festival, not in the least because of his new CD, due to be out in March. Without any doubt chock-full with dark, bashing, steaming, solid audio-mindfucks. In your face thus, just like ‘Industrial Thought Patterns’(released by Vendetta Music, record label of the oh, so cozy acts Ambassador21 and The Peoples Republic of Europe, for instance, both of which were on the bill of previous Noise Central Festival editions). In other words: Mono-Amine is the perfect in-between between the rising force of Le Petit Machiniste and the Berlin noise and breaks of DJ Donna Summer!
