Artem Bezukladnikov
Aka Kema aka Sad Servant Doom is a young Berlin psychedelic drone artist with many names. With a healthy Dead C hangup, he is investigating the blurred areas between deep-fried no-fi guitar-fuzz dirge, thai language instruction cassettes and battery driven gadgets that go fzzzzpmpbbh. Artem also plays in Berlin no-fi spazzrock unit Hiroshima Bird Market and operates the wonderfully quirky Glowing Fingers label.
Nils Rostad
He has been playing improvised guitar for years (in addition to being a painter). His style is self-taught and can be very intense and private, owing more to American primitives like Dredd Foole, Loren Connors or Christina Carter, than to the European avant-garde and the free jazz. Using both timbre, attack and volume as effects (in addition to effect pedals) his sound comes across as highly personal and sparse. He has also been playing as a duo w/ Sindre Bjerga under the name Magnetic North Duo.
Sindre Bjerga
He has been touring the UK every October for the last 5 years, as well as mainland Europe and even Russia, with his cassette player drones and kitchen sink psychedelia. Armed with an array of tape players, dictaphones and a pile of less-than-glamourous sound debris from the sonic junkyards, as he tries to juxtapose and melt sound ghosts hidden deep in the molten magnetic tapes, sometimes forcefeeding them with sheets of feedback from dying amps, always aiming for that mind-altering head trip. He has released over a 100 records as a solo artist and in a variety of collaborations, most notably with Jan Iversen.
