The piece Geburt Der Kunst (Birth Of Art) was composed 2010 for the birthday of art, which was declared by French artist Robert Filliou to be on the 17. January. ( http://www.artsbirthday.net/ ) The concert was performed at Esc Im Labor in Graz, Austria, conducted remotely via the internet from Steiners then studio in Hamburg, Germany. The composition was created with Pure Data and separates the control from the synthesis part, both communicating via OSC. Steiner just sent controldata via the Internet, no streaming data.
This concert happens on location without network.

Elektronengehirn is an electroacoustic project by Malte Steiner, founded in 1996. For soundcreation only software based synthesis and processing is used, Steiner started Elektronengehirn with CSound, custom software and Pure Data. So far this project released 2 CDs, a netlabel release and several contributions to compilations and collaborations. Steiner is involved in several open source projects, like the 'Minicomputer' synthesizer for Linux. Recently Steiner relocated to Berlin and set up his studio / media lab in Kreuzberg.

Luca Forcucci: De Rerum Natura (Deterritorialized sound from the Amazon)

As stated by Félix Guattari in ’Les Trois Ecologies’, a new approach of our relationships seems necessary: ‘An ethico – political articulation, that I call ecosophy, between the three ecological registers, that of the environment, that of the social relationships and that of the human subjectivity’ (Guattari, 1989) De Rerum Natura proposes to describe this thematic by a listening of the natural field, the full immersion in an unknown environment. Here, the social relationships are those from the fauna. A deep listening experience.

Luca Forcucci is an Italian and Swiss sound artist, performer and composer whose work explores the perceptive properties of architectural spaces, city soundscapes, and abandoned spaces. In order to explore the field of possibilities for sound in a context of music and art as experience, his works converge with dance, digital performance, poetry, architecture and neuroscience.
