SACHIKO moved to Tokyo from her native Nagoya in the mid-nineties joining Jutok Kaneko's Kosokuya as a vocalist. At the turn of the century she added improvised violin to her soundworld and played bass with Overhang Party alongside Rinji Fukuoka. At the same time she kicked off the shamanic vocal duo Vava Kitora with Yama-Akago.
"Sachiko sounds as if she is gargling planets as she levitates wordless vocals through a slowly shifting bible-black background of orchestral drone. Can’t think of anything that so beautifully combines the vision of the original Dream Syndicate with the aesthetics of dark Japanese psychedelia." - David Keenan (Volcanic Tongue)
