this is how it goes - i arrive at a location - i hear
sounds - a little microphone tries to shelter from the
wind - the wind goes vroewrrrfrwww - i dont want
wind - i listen close, and hear something different

after some hours days weeks i have enough sounds
what sounds
open your window
hold your breath
stand still
go away from traffic
those sounds

a walkman playing, and another walkman smoking, a
fostex fourtrack strolling, the little microphone
scratching objects found in or around the venue...
everything becomes part of a sonic image.
and i am in the middle, the eye of the huricane, the
place where everything is silence.

hoffman as dnasnow/mouseup and jeff surak as
second violin and has released his work as cd,
cassette and mp3 on zeromoon, foreignlands and
white tapes.
