MICK HARRIS from the legendary Napalm Death returns to Prague after
more than ten years. The relentless experimenter and magician of sound
is coming with his solo project SCORN to introduce new tracks from his
newly recorded album "Didn't Ask To Be Here" live. The legend of
dark ambient and dub released many hard-beat, but strictly down-tempo
albums (e.g. Evanescence, Gyral, Logghi Barogghi), tons of
collaborations (he is still member of Zorn's experimental jazz-
dub-core formation Painkiller) and remixes.
SCORN was founded by Mick Harris in 1991 se with the intention of
making rhythmical and hypnotic drum and bass, which came out
wonderfully thanks to droning sub-bass lines, ephemeral sounds and
rolling beats. He explored musical territories that were not chartered ever
before and gradually redefined the world of ambient dub. In a very short
time SCORN became the avant-garde icon of both post-rock and
isolationist aesthetics, taking clearly social music such as ambient-
industrial and dub to extreme, individualistic levels.
SCORN Prague concert will be supported by the shamanistic post-
industrial duo TÁBOR RADOSTI and »maximum allowable
concentration of madness« M.A.C. OF MAD, electronic chill-out
beats will be driven by DJ MALDOROR.
